Yes! You can instantly start random stranger text chat or enter public chat rooms as a guest with no registration required. Creating a profile with Google or Facebook is optional if you want a custom handle.

Yes. Click on any user profile and select "Message" to open a secure, 1-on-1 Direct Message with them.

The Public Feed allows you to broadcast messages, thoughts, or images to the entire platform. Anyone can react with emojis or reply.

The dashboard prioritizes users who are currently active. Users who have been inactive for an extended period are hidden to keep your feed fresh.

chatxb currently features real-time delivery. We are working on adding read receipts in a future update.

Yes, you can share image URLs or upload photos directly depending on the room and message type permissions.

Use our advanced filter panel on the dashboard. You can specify age ranges (e.g., 18-24) to find peers in your specific age demographic.

Yes! You can use the search bar to find users who have specific tags in their bio, such as #gaming, #music, or #fitness.

In Direct Messages and inside Chat Rooms, you will see a real-time typing indicator (e.g., "User is typing...") so you know a response is coming.

When you leave a chat room, you are removed from the active participants list. However, you can rejoin at any time to resume the conversation.

Custom user-created chat rooms are an upcoming feature. For now, you can enjoy our wide selection of pre-moderated community hubs.

Simply hover over or long-press any message in the public feed or chat rooms to leave a quick emoji reaction instead of typing a full reply.

Dark Mode uses deep blues and greys to reduce eye strain. You can toggle it on or off instantly from the main dashboard settings.

Tags are keywords (like #anime, #coding) added to your bio. They help our algorithm match you with similar users and improve your profile's searchability.

Currently, usernames are permanent to maintain identity consistency. However, you can freely update your display tags, bio, and avatar colors.

Your avatar is generated based on your username and the color you select during signup. We are exploring custom photo uploads for future releases.

If you want to take a break, simply logging out will remove you from the "Active Users" list, effectively hiding your profile from live discovery.

Age is required to ensure compliance with international child protection laws (COPPA) and to ensure users are matched with appropriate age groups.

You can star or favourite specific users you enjoy talking to. They will appear in your Favourites rail for quick and easy access later.

Yes. Your Direct Messages are private between you and the recipient. We do not sell your personal chat data to third-party advertisers.

For mobile users, our automatic NSFW blocker hides potentially sensitive explicit content by default, requiring you to actively choose to view it.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment. Report the user immediately, and our 24/7 moderation team will review and ban malicious accounts.

A dedicated Block feature is currently in active development. For now, reporting them is the fastest way to handle abuse.

You can request a full account deletion through the settings. This permanently wipes your profile, tags, and history from our servers.

Yes, public chat rooms and the global feed are actively monitored by our automated systems and human moderators to enforce community guidelines.

No. We only display the Country and State you manually set on your profile. We never track or display your exact GPS coordinates.

Absolutely. We use industry-standard encryption and hashing to ensure your password and login credentials are fully protected.

When you delete your account, your personal information, messages, and profile data are permanently erased from our active databases.

We do use automated moderation bots to filter spam and explicit content, but we never use fake chat bots to pad user numbers. Every person you talk to is real.

We strongly advise against sharing personal contact information (like phone numbers or home addresses) with strangers online.

No. We are an independent platform. Unless you explicitly choose to login via Google OAuth, we do not share data with large tech conglomerates.

You can contact our support team directly. We take security vulnerabilities very seriously and patch them immediately.

IP addresses are temporarily logged for security and anti-spam purposes (such as preventing DDoS attacks), but are not tied publicly to your profile.

Check your internet connection. If the issue persists, try clearing your browser cache or switching to a different network.

This usually happens if your connection drops. The app will attempt to reconnect automatically. Wait a few seconds and try again.

Because we prioritize anonymity, we do not require emails for standard accounts. If you lose your password, you may need to create a new account.

Bans are issued for violating our Terms of Service, such as spamming, harassment, or posting illegal content. All bans are final.

If you apply strict filters (e.g., specific age and state), there may simply be no users matching that criteria online at this exact moment. Try broadening your filters.

Sometimes aggressive ad-blockers can block our WebSocket connections. Try temporarily disabling your ad-blocker or VPN to see if it resolves the issue.

chatxb does not currently send push notifications outside of the app to preserve your privacy. You will hear in-app sounds when receiving a message while the app is open.

Avatars are dynamically generated. If you change your username or color settings, your avatar's initials and background will change accordingly.

chatxb is built using a modern, lightning-fast stack including Node.js, Express, and Socket.io for real-time bidirectional WebSocket communication.

Currently, the core engine of chatxb is closed-source to prevent bad actors from cloning the platform and creating malicious networks.

We do not currently offer a public API for third-party developers, prioritizing the privacy and closed ecosystem of our user base.
